Signal Cable YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV – Reliability and Versatility
The YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV cable is a reliable solution for control systems, safety circuits, automation, and electrical power supply. Designed for demanding operating conditions, it performs reliably in industrial installations, production lines, and HVAC systems. Its suitability for use in both dry and humid indoor environments, as well as outdoors in cable ducts or direct burial, makes it exceptionally versatile.
Cable Construction and Design
The key to durability and functionality of the YKSY-Nr cable is its carefully engineered construction. Made from soft copper, Class 1 (per PN-EN 60228), it ensures excellent conductivity and flexibility. Conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound; their black color with white numbering facilitates easy identification. In the YKSYżo-Nr 0.6/1 kV version, a green-yellow protective conductor is positioned in the outer layer for enhanced safety. The individually insulated conductors are layered and twisted, forming a stable core wrapped in polyester tape. The entire assembly is encased in a durable outer sheath of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), black in color – available in other colors upon request. This cable features 19 cores, each with a cross-section of 4 mm².
Applications and Benefits
The YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV cable is not only a standard solution – special variants are available to meet specific requirements:
- Oil-resistant version (YKSYżo-Nr-O): Ideal for fuel stations, storage facilities, and transfer terminals – the specialized PVC sheath provides resistance to petroleum-based substances.
- Filled version (YKSwYżo-Nr): Recommended for direct burial in soil, thanks to a moisture-blocking filling.
- Halogen-free version (XnKSXSżo-Nr): Enhanced fire safety due to reduced emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.
- Armored cables: Additional mechanical protection in areas exposed to high physical stress.
Thanks to these features, this cable is widely used across a broad spectrum of electrical installations and industrial automation systems. It complies with IEC 60502-1, PN-93/E-90403, and PN-HD 603 S1 standards and meets the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/UE, ensuring safety and reliability.
