Split system for flexible heating modernization

This heating element is the heart of the Terma Split system, designed with maximum installation flexibility and subsequent operation in mind. Unlike traditional one-piece heaters, the heating element is separated from the controller. This allows the installer to permanently mount only the heating part inside the radiator tube using a standard 24 mm socket wrench. The entire electrical connection and control process takes place only after screwing in the element – simply slide the selected KTX series regulator onto the connector, snap it into place, and rotate it in any direction.

This design solves one of the most common problems during modernization: the need to disassemble the entire device when replacing the controller. If the customer decides to change the regulator model or needs to disconnect it, for example during a room renovation, it is sufficient to unscrew only the head from the heating element. There is no need to unscrew the entire heater from the radiator, which saves time and eliminates the risk of damaging the installation or causing leaks at the threaded joint.

Compatibility and universal application

This element is compatible with the entire range of KTX series regulators, regardless of their power or additional functions. Whether the user chooses a simple mechanical thermostat or an advanced electronic controller – all of them fit the same heater body. The system supports a wide power range, allowing precise matching of performance to the specific type and size of the radiator. In practice, this means availability of versions with powers: 120 W (length 325 mm), 200 W (285 mm), 300 W (310 mm), 400 W (345 mm), 600 W (375 mm), 800 W (485 mm), and 1000 W (575 mm). The higher the device power, the longer the immersed part in the heating fluid for optimal heat exchange.

A key advantage is also the ability to adjust the angle of the controller relative to the front of the radiator. The connector allows rotation up to 340°, providing full freedom to align the display for user visibility or interior aesthetics. The electrical connector is completely concealed under the regulator housing, so after installation no cables or visible mechanical parts protrude – only the clean line of the controller is visible.

Operating conditions and installation safety

The device operates on a standard 230 V / 50 Hz power network and belongs to protection class I, which requires proper grounding of the installation. The mounting thread is the standard 1/2", ensuring universality with most typical water radiators available on the market. It is worth noting that this specific model (WETS102K---D) is intended for class I devices; for markets requiring a higher insulation class, there is a TS2 version (class II), but this product is dedicated to standard grounded installations. Thanks to this solution, heating modernization becomes a modular process – the "brain" of the system can be replaced without interfering with its "heart".
