Heat shrink tubing 40/15 KTK-40/15
Universal solution for cable insulation and protection
Heat shrink caps are a reliable way to seal the ends of cables and wires, both in electrical and telecommunications installations. This model, with an inner diameter of 40 mm before shrinking, provides solid protection against moisture, corrosion and the influence of harmful chemicals - acids and bases. Thanks to the inner layer of hot melt adhesive, it guarantees exceptional tightness of insulation, which is crucial for the safety and durability of connections.
Construction and properties
Made of polyolefin (PO-X), this thickened cap is characterized by high mechanical and dielectric strength (minimum 16 kV/mm). A shrinkage ratio of 3:1 allows it to be adapted to various wire diameters - after shrinking, the inner diameter is 14.6 mm and the total length is 120 mm. The black color facilitates identification and aesthetics. These caps are halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic substances.
Scope of application and operating parameters
Heat shrink caps are widely used not only for securing cable ends, but also screws exposed to harsh weather conditions. A wide operating temperature range from -45°C to +110°C makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The lack of printing capability does not limit their functionality - the focus has been on providing maximum protection and durability of connections. With glue inside, they provide an additional protective barrier against moisture and contamination.
