Controller with LCD display – a compact solution for automation

This controller with a 4.3-inch LCD display combines the functionality of a PLC controller and an HMI panel, offering a comprehensive solution for industrial process automation. It is an all-in-one device, ideal for applications requiring visualization and control.

Functionality and capabilities

The SM43-J controller is equipped with 10 digital inputs (including 3 high-speed), 2 digital/analog universal inputs, and 8 transistor outputs (7 high-speed with PWM modulation up to 0.5 kHz). This allows for handling various signals and controlling different devices. The device's memory allows storing 112kB of program in ladder language, 2MB of images, and 512K of fonts. The ability to handle trends, alarms, and a string library increases the controller's functionality.

Thanks to the built-in TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480x272 pixels and a diagonal of 4.3 inches, the controller enables intuitive operation and process visualization. The displayed virtual keyboard further facilitates interaction with the device. The controller has a protection degree of IP66/IP65/NEM4X (from the front), which ensures its reliable operation even in harsh industrial conditions.

Expansion and integration

The Samba SM43-J controller can be expanded with additional inputs/outputs using the EX-RC1 expansion adapter, which communicates via the CAN bus (UniCAN protocol). Up to 8 I/O modules can be connected to one adapter, and a maximum of 60 devices can operate in the network. The controller is powered by 24VDC, and a battery ensures long-term operation (lifespan of approximately 7 years at 25°C).
