Construction and Expansion Possibilities

V1040-T20B offers wide expansion possibilities thanks to support for input/output modules. It is possible to configure it using snap-on modules mounted directly on the back of the controller, as well as expansion modules connected via an expansion port or CAN bus. This allows you to adapt the system to specific application needs, supporting up to 1024 digital, fast and analog inputs/outputs. It is worth noting the possibility of using micro-SD cards to store data, program backups, and trends and alarms.

Functionality and Application

The controller is equipped with two RS232/485 serial ports with galvanic isolation, a CANbus port and USB for programming. This enables integration with various systems and external devices. The touchscreen with a resolution of 800x600 pixels provides a clear image, and the alphanumeric virtual keyboard makes it easier for the operator to enter data. Information mode allows for touchscreen calibration, system parameter editing and controller reset. The device meets the requirements of the UL Haz Loc standard when panel-mounted on flat surfaces of Type 1 or Type 4X enclosures. Power is supplied via an external 12 or 24 VDC power supply (range 10.2–28.8 V DC).
