Compact PLC controller integrated with an HMI panel

This Unitronics Vision350 PLC controller combines process control functionality with intuitive operation thanks to the built-in 3.5-inch color HMI panel. This device is a comprehensive solution for a wide range of industrial applications, from simple production lines to more complex automation systems. Its compact size and panel mounting (IP65) or DIN rail mounting (IP20) options make it an ideal choice for both new installations and modernization of existing ones.

Flexibility and versatility in operation

The controller offers a rich set of inputs and outputs, adapted to various needs. The V350-J-R34 version has 20 digital inputs, 2 digital-analog inputs (accepting signals 0-10 Vdc and 0/4-20 mA) and 12 relay outputs. This combination allows for direct control of various installation elements – from sensors and valves to motors and heaters. Additionally, the possibility of expansion via the expansion port enables support for up to 512 additional input/output points, increasing the flexibility of the system.

Functionality and programming

Vision350 offers advanced programming functions in ladder language, as well as built-in PID controllers with auto-tuning function, fast counters (up to 10 kHz) and fast PWM outputs. Program memory with a capacity of 1MB allows for the implementation of even complex control algorithms. Real-time clock and battery-backed memory retention (up to 7 years) ensure reliable system operation even in the event of a power failure. The built-in microSD card reader facilitates data archiving and software updates. Communication is via RS232/485 ports, and an Ethernet interface and CANbus and Profibus protocols are also optionally available. Modbus master/slave support enables integration with other devices in the industrial network.

HMI panel – intuitive operation and visualization

The 3.5-inch color HMI panel provides a clear QVGA TFT display with a palette of 256 colors. It allows creating up to 1024 screens (maximum 250 images per application) with display of text (including in Polish) and graphic files (gif, jpg, bmp). The IP65 protection class (from the front) guarantees resistance to conditions prevailing in the industrial environment. The ability to display up to 255 variables on the screen with assignment of up to 150 different information/images to each variable provides full control over the process and easy diagnostics of any problems.
