The Unitronics UniStream B5 B1 controller is a compact device that combines the functions of a PLC controller and an HMI panel. This model is distinguished by the lack of built-in inputs/outputs, making it an ideal solution where high flexibility in system configuration is required. The ability to expand up to 2048 I/O points allows the controller to be adapted to various industrial applications.
This Unitronics model offers advanced communication capabilities, including two Ethernet ports, a USB Host port and a USB device port, as well as a microSD card slot. This enables easy integration with other devices and systems, as well as convenient programming and software updates. Thanks to support for protocols such as RS232/RS485, CANopen, ModbusRTU, UniCAN, ModbusTCP, Ethernet/IP, FTP, MQTT, SQL and SNMP, the controller can be used in a wide range of applications.
Construction and operating parameters
The UniStream B5 B1 controller has been designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions. Thanks to a wide range of supply voltage (10.2 - 28.8 VDC) it is compatible with various power sources. It can operate at a temperature of -20°C to 55°C and be stored in a temperature range of -30°C to 75°C with a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. The housing with a protection class of IP20 (NEMA1) provides protection against access to accidental solid bodies. The device is resistant to shocks (IEC 60068-2-27, 15G) and vibrations (IEC 60068-2-6).
The dimensions of the controller are 63.9 mm deep, 121.1 mm wide and 123.2 mm high – allowing for mounting in a limited space. The internal memory of the controller is RAM with a capacity of 512MB and ROM with a capacity of 3GB system memory and an additional 1GB of user memory – providing sufficient space for complex control applications.
