Universal multilayer pipe for central heating and domestic hot water installations

The Uponor Combi Pipe is a ready-to-install solution consisting of a multilayer pipe with a polyethylene (PE-Xa) protective layer and thermal insulation. This product is designed for both professional installations and demanding end customers who value comfort and energy efficiency. Available in a 50-meter roll, it simplifies installation over larger areas.

Construction and properties

The pipe is constructed of four layers: two inner and outer layers made of PE-Xa (oxygen-crosslinked polyethylene), with an EVOH (ethyl vinyl alcohol) layer in between. This unique construction provides high mechanical strength, temperature resistance, and minimizes oxygen permeation into the installation. The EVOH layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, protecting metallic components of the installation from corrosion. Additionally, the pipe has 13 mm thick thermal insulation, which reduces heat loss and prevents condensation. The outer diameter of the pipe is 25 mm, and the wall thickness is 3.5 mm. The outer diameter of the thermal insulation is 63 mm.

The pipe is flexible (minimum bending radius 200 mm), making it easy to route in complex installation systems. The maximum medium temperature for short-term use is 95°C, and the maximum working pressure at 20°C is 10 bar – these parameters allow for use in various heating and water systems. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.14 mm/(m·K). The pipe is equipped with a socket with an outer diameter of 34 mm, which facilitates connections.
