Construction and properties

The Comfort Pipe Plus pipe stands out with a unique construction that combines the advantages of different materials. The core made of crosslinked polyethylene (PE-Xa) guarantees high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. A key element is the EVOH anti-diffusion barrier, which effectively prevents oxygen from penetrating the system, protecting metal components from corrosion. Additional PE layers provide a durable connection between individual construction elements and protection against mechanical damage during installation.

Thanks to the use of UAX™ technology, the pipe is characterized by increased flexibility (+14%) and resilience (+10%) compared to standard PE-Xa pipes, which makes installation easier even in difficult conditions. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.14 mm/(m.K), which should be taken into account when designing the installation. The pipe wall thickness is 2 mm, and the outer diameter is 17 mm. The maximum working pressure at 20°C is 6 bar, and the maximum medium temperature (short-term) is 100°C. The minimum bending radius is 85 mm – it is worth remembering this when laying the pipe to avoid damage.
