Construction and Properties

The pipe consists of five layers, ensuring exceptional performance. The inner layer, made of PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene), guarantees resistance to high temperatures and pressure, while minimizing scale buildup. The middle layer, composed of EVOH (ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer), acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen ingress into the system—critical for the long-term integrity of system components. The outer layer, made of polyethylene (PE), provides protection against mechanical damage and UV radiation.

Comfort Pipe Plus is UV-resistant, enabling its use in installations exposed to direct sunlight. It has a maximum operating pressure of 6 bar at 20°C and can withstand short-term medium temperatures up to 100°C. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.14 mm/(m·K), which must be considered during system design.
