Pipe for heating and water installations – reliability and durability
Uponor Radi Pipe PN6 pipe, with a diameter of 40x3.7 mm and a length of 6 meters, is a key element of modern heating and plumbing systems. Made of high-quality oxygen-crosslinked polyethylene (PE-Xa) using the Engel method, it meets the stringent standards of PN-EN ISO 15875, guaranteeing safety and long-term operation. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and demanding end customers.
Construction and properties
The pipe is characterized by a three-layer structure, in which the middle layer made of EVOH constitutes an effective anti-diffusion barrier. This prevents oxygen from penetrating the installation, protecting metal elements from corrosion – which translates into a longer lifespan of the entire system. The flexibility of the pipe (flexible model) facilitates installation and adaptation to complex installation layouts. The coefficient of expansion of 0.14 mm/(m.K) ensures thermal expansion compensation, minimizing the risk of damage caused by temperature changes.
- Durable corrosion protection: The EVOH barrier prevents oxygen from accessing the installation elements, protecting them from corrosion.
- High flexibility: Facilitates installation in tight spaces and adaptation to complex layouts.
- Temperature resistance: Maximum short-term medium temperature up to 100°C allows use in various heating systems.
- Safety confirmed by standards: Compliance with PN-EN ISO 15875 ensures a high standard of quality and safety of use.
- Versatility: Can be used in underfloor heating installations, low-temperature radiators and high-temperature radiators (application classification: Class 4 and 5).
- Minimum bending radius: 220 mm allows for precise shaping of pipes without the risk of damage.
Application and compatibility
The Uponor Radi Pipe is intended for use in central heating systems and plumbing installations. Thanks to its high pressure resistance (maximum working pressure at 20°C: 6 bar), it can be used in various operating conditions. It is compatible with Wirsbo Q&E technology, enabling quick and reliable connections without the use of specialized tools. The white color of the pipe facilitates identification in the installation and aesthetic matching to the surroundings.
