Uponor Radi Pipe PN6 is an element of a heating system and water installations, made of high-quality cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa). It is designed for use in radiator installations, underfloor heating and domestic hot and cold water systems. Its construction, with an EVOH anti-diffusion layer, provides long-term protection against corrosion of installation components. The pipe is flexible, making it easy to install even in complex systems.

Construction and properties

The pipe is constructed of three layers: an inner layer of PE-Xa, a middle layer of plastic (EVOH) acting as an anti-diffusion barrier, and an outer layer. The EVOH layer effectively limits the penetration of oxygen into the installation, which is crucial for protecting metal components from corrosion. Crosslinking of polyethylene (PE-Xa) ensures high mechanical and thermal resistance of the pipe. The flexibility of the material makes it easy to run the installation and minimizes the risk of damage during assembly.

The pipe is characterized by high resistance to working pressure up to 6 bar at a temperature of 20°C and short-term resistance to temperature up to 100°C. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.14 mm/(m·K), which should be taken into account when designing the installation. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 300 mm, allowing it to be easily formed without risk of damage. The white color of the pipe makes it easy to identify in the installation.
