This is an elbow from the Uponor S-Press PLUS series, made of high-quality PPSU plastic, designed for connecting PEX pipes in potable water and heating systems. It provides a durable and leak-proof connection, minimizing the risk of failure. Its crimp connection technology significantly speeds up installation work compared to traditional methods.

Construction and characteristic features

The PPSU 16-16 elbow is characterized by precise workmanship and the use of advanced technological solutions. Inside there is a steel crimp sleeve with an inspection hole, which ensures accurate fit of the crimp jaw during assembly. A unique crimp execution indicator allows for quick visual control of the connection correctness. Additionally, the presence of a leak test indicator facilitates checking the tightness of the installation after completion. The bending angle is 90 degrees, making it ideal for creating right-angle connections.

The optimized body shape improves the flow of medium in the installation, reducing pressure losses. This makes the system work more efficiently and energy-effectively. The elbow is fully compatible with the other elements of the Uponor S-Press PLUS system, allowing for the construction of complex and reliable installations. An innovative QR code placed on the product provides quick access to detailed technical information and installation instructions using a smartphone or tablet.

Application and compliance with standards

The PPSU 16-16 elbow is intended for use in:

• Potable water installations: constant operating temperature from 0°C to 70°C with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar. Short-term maximum temperature is 95°C.
• Heating installations: constant operating temperature up to 80°C with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar. Short-term maximum temperature is 100°C.

The product has a number of certificates confirming its quality and safety:

• PZH Certificate – confirms approval for contact with potable water.
• National Declaration of Performance – ensures compliance with Polish building standards.
• DVGW – certificate of the German technical institute confirming the high quality of the product.
• AENOR – certificate of the Spanish standardization institute confirming compliance with European standards.

GW and GZ threads are made in accordance with EN 10226-1 standard, which guarantees their compatibility with other installation elements.
