Explosion‑proof axial duct fan, compliant with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC

The TCBT/4 EX ATEX 355/HB fan is a special version of the COMPACT model, designed exclusively for use in explosion‑hazard zones. Its construction meets the requirements of Directive 94/9/EC ATEX — meaning it is certified for operation in environments where there is a risk of explosion caused by the presence of gases, vapours, or dust.

This model is certified as Ex e II T3 — this designation refers to “increased safety” protection (Ex e) for equipment intended for Zones 1 and 2. There is no confirmation that the TCBT/4-355/HB version is available in other explosion‑proof versions — such as Ex h IIB T4 or Ex d IIC T4 — which are specified only for larger diameters (710 mm and 800 mm).

The protection rating IP55 and insulation class F are confirmed as standard for this series — providing resistance to dust and water spray, as well as insulation stability at elevated temperatures. The operating temperature for models with a diameter up to 630 mm (including TCBT/4-355) is limited to ‑20 °C to +40 °C — it must not be operated outside this range.

The fan has a duct construction — it is mounted directly in ventilation ducts without additional housings. Its flow characteristics and dimensions are identical to those of the standard version — facilitating replacement or modernization of existing installations.
