Explosion‑proof duct fan, ATEX compliant

The TCBT/4 EX fan is a special version of the COMPACT series, intended for installation in explosion‑hazard zones. Compliant with Directive 94/9/EC ATEX, it is designed for environments where there is a risk of explosive gas mixtures.

The designation ATEX 2G Exe II T3 confirms its compliance with the requirements for zone 1 — where explosive hazards may occur regularly. The “Exe” protection technique ensures that no sparks or surface temperatures sufficient to ignite are present. This version is available for models with duct diameters from 315 mm to 630 mm.

Protection rating IP55 and insulation class F are standard features of this series — protecting against dust and water, and allowing safe operation at elevated internal temperatures.

For larger sizes — 710 mm and 800 mm models — other explosion‑proof versions are available: II 2G Ex h IIB T4 and II 2G Ex h IIB+H2 T4 (with Ex d IIC T4 motor). These models can be used where protection against explosion in the presence of hydrogen or other more active gases is required.

Operating temperature range: models from 315 mm to 630 mm and from 355 mm to 710 mm (depending on series) operate from ‑20 °C to +55 °C, while the 710 mm and 800 mm models operate from ‑20 °C to +40 °C. These are design differences resulting from safety requirements for larger units.

Dimensions and flow characteristics are consistent with the standard TCBT series — allowing easy integration with existing ventilation installations without the need to modify ducts.
