Axial fan TCBT/4 EX ATEX 400/HB ducted, explosion‑proof version 41521065
Explosion‑proof axial flow duct fan for hazardous environments
The TCBT/4 fan (TCBT/4-400/H EX) is a special version of the COMPACT model, designed for use in explosion‑hazard zones – both gas and vapor environments. Its construction complies with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, and the certification confirms conformity with the 2G Exe II T3 marking, meaning it can be used in zones 1 and 2 (gases) with a maximum surface temperature of 135 °C.
The housing is made of extruded steel sheet, painted with black epoxy paint, providing corrosion resistance and durability in aggressive conditions. The aluminum impeller – lightweight and dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940-1 – minimizes vibration and ensures stable operation at high speeds.
Three‑phase, four‑pole motor (380–415 V / 50 Hz) with IP55 protection rating and insulation class F allows safe operation even at relative humidity up to 95 %. The operating temperature range is ‑20 °C to +55 °C, making the fan suitable for both cold industrial facilities and hot spaces – e.g., paint shops or paint warehouses.
Airflow proceeds from the impeller to the motor (HB designation), protecting the motor from direct exposure to the medium – especially important when handling chemicals or dust. A flanged connection to the duct simplifies installation and ensures a sealed system.
The TCBT/4-400/H EX version is intended mainly for short ventilation installations with low static pressure. It is ideal for extracting solvent vapors, exhaust gases or non‑conductive dust in locations such as:
‑ paint shops and coating lines
‑ paint, lacquer and solvent warehouses
‑ fume cupboards
‑ production areas with a risk of gas explosion
It is not a fan for long duct runs or high‑resistance systems – its performance is optimized for simple, direct solutions. If higher power or a different operating temperature is required (e.g., T4), other model versions (710 mm, 800 mm) with Exd IIB T4 or Exd IIB+H2 T4 certification are available – but this specific unit operates only within the T3 range.
Installation does not require additional throttling devices or insulation – all components are already designed as part of the ATEX system. No modifications are needed after purchase.
