Axial fan TCBT/4 EX ATEX 450/HB ducted, explosion‑proof version. 41521085
Explosion‑proof axial duct fan, compliant with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC
The TCBT/4 EX ATEX 450/HB fan is designed for use in explosion‑hazardous areas — where the presence of flammable gases, vapors or dust requires equipment that meets strict safety standards. Its construction meets the requirements of Directive 94/9/EC ATEX, confirming its suitability for zones 1 and 2 (gases) without additional protective measures.
The design is based on the standard COMPACT TCBT series, retaining all mechanical and aerodynamic features — an impeller made of aluminum sheet, dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940-1, a steel housing with cathodic painting and a polyester coating. A junction box on the housing enables easy connection of ventilation ducts. Installation is possible both horizontally and vertically — this flexibility facilitates integration into existing installations without the need for structural modifications.
The three‑phase motor (230/400 V 50 Hz) has an IP55 protection rating and class F insulation — providing resistance to dust and moisture, which is critical in industrial ventilation environments. Airflow proceeds from the impeller to the motor (designation HB), protecting electrical components from direct exposure to the medium. The EX version requires no additional guards or protective circuits — ATEX certification covers the entire device as a safe unit.
The medium operating temperature for this model ranges from –40 °C to +40 °C — the same as other TCBT series models of 450 mm size. The ATEX marking is 2G Exe II T3, indicating that the device surface temperature will not exceed 200 °C during operation — appropriately suited for typical conditions in industrial halls.
All technical parameters — from dimensions to flow characteristics — conform to the standard TCBT series. No special adaptations are required: the fan operates identically to its non‑explosion‑proof version, but with added safety assurance where needed.
