Axial fan TCBT 6 450/HB ducted, aluminum impeller 41520575
Purpose and Application
The TCBT 6 450/HB axial fan is designed for general ventilation of utility and industrial premises. It is ideal where constant air exchange is required without the need for high pressure – e.g., in wholesale warehouses, storage facilities, production halls, parking garages, retail outlets, greenhouses, or poultry houses. Horizontal or vertical mounting provides flexibility in integration with existing ventilation ducts.
Construction and Durability
The housing is made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, electrocoated with polyester paint – ensuring corrosion resistance even in aggressive industrial environments. The aluminum rotor, dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940-1, features low mass and resistance to temperature fluctuations. Airflow occurs from the rotor to the motor (designation HB), protecting the motor from direct exposure to contaminated air – particularly useful in dusty or humid locations.
Motor and Operating Conditions
The three-phase motor (230/400 V, 50 Hz) has an IP65 protection rating and insulation class F – meaning resistance to dust, moisture, and short-term precipitation. The operating medium temperature can reach up to +70°C, allowing use in rooms with high thermal loads – e.g., where machinery generates heat or during summer seasons. Thermal overload protection further safeguards the device against damage caused by improper operation.
Installation and Operation
The fan features a built-in terminal box on the housing – facilitating quick and sealed installation into ducts. Dimensions are standard for the series: rotor diameter 450 mm, housing length 180 mm, and the connection cable fits typical ventilation pipes. No special tools or adaptations are required – the installer can connect it directly to the three-phase network. It operates quietly (noise level approx. 54 dB(A)), which is important in locations near work or storage areas.
Advantages for Installer and User
- No additional guards required – IP65 ensures full protection without the need for an external housing.
- Aluminum rotor does not rust – longer service life compared to steel, especially in humid environments.
- Adjustability – the three-phase motor allows connection to a frequency inverter (e.g., 0.4 kW), enabling performance adaptation to specific needs.
- Stable performance – at air temperatures up to +70°C, it does not lose power or efficiency.
- Simple maintenance – no complex mechanical components; access to the rotor and motor is easy after housing removal.
