Application and Scope of Operation

The TCBT 4 450/HB axial fan is a device dedicated to duct installations, where efficient air exchange in large spaces is crucial. Its construction allows for horizontal or vertical mounting, significantly facilitating integration with existing ventilation systems in production halls, warehouses, parking facilities, or commercial premises. Thanks to the airflow directed from the impeller to the motor (designation HB), the device effectively handles the removal of excess heat, humidity, or odors from industrial and utility spaces.

The device is particularly suitable where operation over a wider temperature range is required. For the model with a 450 mm diameter, the permissible temperature range of the discharged medium is from -40°C to +70°C. This means the fan can operate not only in standard office or retail conditions but also in more demanding environments, such as greenhouses or breeding facilities (e.g., pigsties, poultry houses), where thermal conditions may change rapidly.

Construction and Resistance to External Conditions

A key element ensuring the durability of this fan is its housing made of corrosion-protected steel. This process includes cathodic painting with a primer layer and a polyester topcoat, protecting the metal against rust even in humid environments. Additionally, fastening elements are made of stainless steel, eliminating the risk of corrosion at critical mounting points.

The three-phase electric motor (powered at 400V) is designed for reliable continuous operation. The device has an IP 65 protection rating, guaranteeing complete protection against dust and water jets striking from various angles – essential when washing rooms or operating in difficult industrial conditions. Insulation class F allows the motor to operate at higher temperatures without risking damage to the windings. Meanwhile, the impeller made of aluminum sheet and dynamically balanced according to the ISO 1940-1 standard results in quieter operation and reduced vibrations during startup and shutdown.

It is worth noting that this model (TCBT) features a three-phase motor, which opens the possibility of regulating its rotational speed using an inverter (frequency regulation). This allows the installer to precisely match the fan's performance to the current ventilation needs of the facility, saving electrical energy under lower system loads.

Performance and Operating Characteristics

For the TCBT 4 450/HB model, the manufacturer has specified concrete performance values enabling effective ventilation of large volumes. Maximum performance reaches 6650 m³/h, with an impeller rotational speed of approximately 1405 rpm. The noise level generated by the device is around 63 dB(A), which is an acceptable value for most industrial and warehouse facilities. The motor consumes 1900 W (1.9 kW) of power, providing adequate thrust for installations with a 450 mm diameter.

The device is ready for direct installation into ventilation ducts thanks to standard flange connection dimensions. Thanks to the use of modern material solutions and precise impeller balancing, this fan offers a long service life with minimal maintenance requirements. It is a universal solution – suitable both as an element of a forced general ventilation system in a new warehouse building and as a supplement to an existing installation in a car workshop requiring increased air circulation.
