PP-R pipe for water and heating installations

VESBO PN16 polypropylene (PP-R) pipe is a system component designed for the safe and durable distribution of hot and cold water and in central heating systems. Made of high-quality polypropylene copolymer (PP-R type 3), it ensures reliability and corrosion resistance. Available in a length of 4 meters, it facilitates precise adaptation to installation needs.

Construction and properties

The pipe is characterized by an outer diameter of 25 mm and a wall thickness of 3.5 mm. The higher pressure class PN16 means that it can operate at a pressure of up to 16 bar, making it suitable for most domestic and commercial installations. A linear expansion coefficient of 0.15 mm/(m.K) takes into account the natural dimensional changes of the pipe under the influence of temperature, which is important for ensuring the tightness of connections. The gray color of the pipe makes it easier to identify in the installation. A standardized dimension ratio (SDR) of 7.4 ensures adequate mechanical strength while maintaining flexibility.

Application and installation

VESBO PP-R pipes are ideal for:

• Installation of hot and cold domestic water – both in residential and commercial buildings.
• Central heating systems – providing efficient heat distribution.
• Technological installations – where resistance to corrosion and high temperatures (up to 95°C) is required.

The assembly of PP-R pipes is carried out by welding, which ensures durable and tight connections. Welding requires the use of specialized equipment – a PP-R welding machine – and appropriate knowledge and skills. This ensures that connections are resistant to pressure and temperature, minimizing the risk of leaks. The pipe has pipe ends designed for connection with other elements of the PP-R system, such as fittings or connectors.
