Composite pipe for water and heating installations

VESBO FASER pipe is a modern solution for hot and cold domestic water and central heating installations. Made of polypropylene (PP-R) with 20% glass fiber additive, it combines the advantages of traditional PP-R pipes with improved mechanical and thermal properties. The three-layer construction – two layers of PP-R surrounding the glass fiber – ensures dimensional stability and resistance to loads.

FASER pipes are particularly recommended for installations made outdoors or in places exposed to greater mechanical loads, where standard PP-R pipes may prove insufficient. Their use allows for reducing linear expansion compared to traditional PP-R pipes, which translates into greater installation stability and lower stress.

Installation is carried out in the same way as for standard PP-R pipes, which makes it easier for installers and minimizes project completion time.

Construction and properties

The VESBO FASER pipe construction consists of three layers: inner and outer layers made of static polypropylene copolymer (PP-R), and a middle layer reinforced with glass fiber. The glass fiber insert accounts for about 20% of the pipe wall thickness, which significantly affects its mechanical properties. Thanks to this, the pipe is characterized by a lower linear expansion – only 0.04 mm/mK – compared to standard PP-R pipes (0.15 mm/mK). Lower expansion means less stress in the installation caused by temperature changes, which translates into longer life and reliability of the system.

In addition, the smooth inner surface of the pipe minimizes flow resistance, preventing scale build-up and ensuring optimal hydraulic performance. The VESBO FASER pipe is resistant to corrosion and the action of many chemicals, guaranteeing long-term operation without the need to replace elements. The gray color makes it easier to identify the pipe during installation and operation.

Application and compatibility

VESBO FASER pipe with an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 12.5 mm is designed to operate at a nominal pressure of PN20 and a temperature of up to 50°C. Thanks to compliance with EN ISO 15874, it can be used in water supply and heating installations in accordance with DIN 8077. It can be connected using standard PP-R fittings, without the need for special tools or installation techniques. This makes it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end customers looking for a reliable and easy-to-install system.
