Multilayer pipe for water supply and heating installations
VESBO FASER pipe with a fiberglass insert is a modern solution for building water and heating installations. It is characterized by high dimensional stability and resistance to temperature changes, thanks to the use of a fiberglass layer between two layers of polypropylene (PP-R). SDR7.4 and pressure class PN16 make it a universal product, suitable for use in residential and commercial buildings. A length of 4 meters minimizes the number of connections, which translates to greater tightness and faster installation.
Construction and properties
The three-layer construction of the FASER pipe – polypropylene, fiberglass, polypropylene – provides exceptional properties. The fiberglass insert (18–20%) stabilizes the pipe, reducing its thermal expansion. This in turn makes it easier to maintain the linearity of long sections of the installation and reduces the need for expansion compensators. The smooth inner surface of PP-R minimizes flow resistance and limits the deposition of scale and other contaminants. An outer diameter of 20 mm with a wall thickness of 2.8 mm makes it ideal for use in mains and risers of installations. A coefficient of expansion of 0.04 mm/(m.K) ensures stability even with changes in medium temperature.
Application and installation
The VESBO FASER SDR7.4 PN16 pipe is intended for installation in:
- Cold and hot domestic water
- Central heating
- Installation mains and risers
- Underfloor heating systems (after considering design parameters)
Installation is carried out by polyfusion welding (socket fusion) using PP-R fittings VESBO, which guarantees durable and tight connections. Compatibility with system fittings facilitates prefabrication of installation elements and ensures material consistency throughout the system. This makes the installation process quick, efficient and minimizes the risk of leaks.
