VESBO FASER PP-R Pipes – Reliability and Easy Installation

VESBO FASER pipes are a composite solution made of polypropylene (PP-R) reinforced with fiberglass, designed for water supply, heating, and central heating installations. They are an excellent alternative to traditional PP-R pipes, offering increased strength and dimensional stability while maintaining ease of processing. The pipe construction is based on three layers: an inner and outer layer of pure PP-R type 3 and a middle layer reinforced with 20% fiberglass content, accounting for 1/3 of the wall thickness.

Construction and Properties

Fiberglass reinforcement significantly affects the properties of VESBO FASER pipes. This results in a lower weight compared to pipes with an aluminum layer, and also eliminates the need to remove a protective layer before welding – which translates into saving time and installation costs. Additionally, these pipes exhibit lower thermal expansion than traditional PP-R pipes, minimizing stresses in the installation caused by temperature changes. The smooth inner surface prevents scale build-up and ensures optimal medium flow.

Application and Compatibility

VESBO FASER pipes are widely used in central heating installations as well as domestic hot and cold water systems. They are compatible with other elements of the VESBO PP-R system, allowing for the creation of complex and durable installations. Thanks to their properties, they are ideal for use in both residential and public buildings. The pipe with an outer diameter of 25 mm and a wall thickness of 3.5 mm is designed to operate at a pressure of PN16 and a temperature of up to 50°C. The linear expansion coefficient is 0.04 mm/(m·K), and the wall roughness is 0.007 mm. The standardized dimension ratio (SDR) is 7.4, and the nominal diameter is DN20.
