Composite pipes for sanitary and heating installations
VESBO FASER pipe is an advanced solution designed for the construction of hot and cold water installations, as well as central heating systems. Made of polypropylene (PP-R) reinforced with fiberglass, it combines the advantages of traditional PP-R pipes with additional strength and dimensional stability. The three-layer construction – inner and outer layers of PP-R and a middle layer of PP-R reinforced with fiberglass – ensures reliable and durable connections.
Fiberglass reinforcement, accounting for 20% of the wall thickness, significantly reduces thermal expansion compared to standard PP-R pipes. This translates to lower stress in the installation during temperature changes, which is particularly important in central heating systems. Therefore, the VESBO FASER pipe is ideal for applications requiring high resistance to thermal and mechanical loads.
VESBO FASER pipes are also lighter than aluminum-stabilized pipes, and importantly – do not require stripping the reinforcing layer before welding. This simplifies and speeds up installation, saving time and labor costs. The smooth inner surface minimizes flow resistance, preventing scale build-up and ensuring optimal hydraulic performance of the installation.
The thermal expansion of PP-R, FASER and STABI/V-CENTRO pipes varies depending on the temperature. For a 10-meter pipe, at a temperature of 70/50°C (CH), the elongation is 83mm for PP-R, 22mm for FASER and 17mm for STABI/V-CENTRO. At a temperature of 55°C (DHW), the elongation is 60mm for PP-R, 16mm for FASER and 12mm for STABI/V-CENTRO.
The VESBO FASER pipe with an outer diameter of 63 mm and a wall thickness of 10.5 mm is designed to operate at a pressure of PN20. Available in 4-meter lengths, it meets industry standards and ensures safe and efficient operation of the installation for many years. The gray color facilitates identification of the pipe during installation and operation. Wall roughness at 0.007 mm further minimizes pressure losses of the flowing medium.
