PP-R pipe with fiberglass insert – reliability and durability of installation

VESBO FASER pipe is a composite structure made of polypropylene with a fiberglass insert, designed for the construction of water supply and heating installations. Construction and properties

VESBO FASER is distinguished by a three-layer structure: the inner and outer layers are made of polypropylene PP-R type 3, and between them there is a reinforcing layer of fiberglass. This construction combines the advantages of polypropylene – a smooth inner surface minimizing flow resistance and chemical resistance – with the strength and stiffness provided by fiberglass. Fiberglass accounts for as much as 1/3 of the pipe wall thickness, which significantly increases its resistance to mechanical and thermal loads. Thanks to this, the FASER pipe is lighter than aluminum pipes, while maintaining high dimensional stability.

Application and benefits

VESBO FASER pipe is perfect for central heating installations as well as hot and cold water systems. Its low linear expansion (0.04 mm/(m·K)) minimizes stress in the installation during temperature changes, which translates into a longer service life of connections.
