Balancing ball valve – precise flow control in installations
The VEXVE balancing ball valve, made of stainless steel, is a key component in heating and cooling systems (HVAC/R). It is used to precisely regulate the flow of medium, ensuring optimal operation of the entire system. The DN150 PN16 model with flange and reduced passage is particularly recommended for applications requiring reliability and corrosion resistance.
Design and materials – durability and resistance
The valve is made of stainless steel X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4404) – a material characterized by high corrosion resistance and mechanical damage. The use of this type of steel guarantees a long service life even in difficult operating conditions. PTFE+GF sealing ensures tightness and minimizes the risk of leaks. The reduced passage design allows for precise flow adjustment, and the flange facilitates installation in existing installations.
Application and operating parameters
This valve is used in heating, cooling systems and industrial installations where precise regulation of the medium flow is required. Its nominal diameter of DN150 and nominal pressure of PN16 make it ideal for medium and large installations. The Kvs value of 3 indicates its efficiency and ability to regulate flow over a wide range. The valve is designed to operate at temperatures from -20°C to +200°C, making it a universal solution for various applications. It should be remembered that below -20°C it is recommended to contact the manufacturer before use. The valve is not intended for use with steam.
Additional information:
- VEXVE valves are available in the libraries of TA-SCOPE and SmartBalancing programs, which facilitates their integration with monitoring and control systems.
- Versions with an actuator are also available, which enable remote flow control.
- According to EN 12266-1, it exhibits leakage class A.
- In the case of applications with media other than water, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer to confirm compatibility.
