Solution for explosive zones

The 3-wire feed-through connector with a cross-section of 2,5 mm² has been specifically designed for Ex e II explosive zone applications. It utilizes advanced Push-in CAGE CLAMP® technology, which enables fast and secure tool-free wire installation.

The device provides a rated voltage of 800 V and a rated current of 24 A, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications. The design allows for operation in extreme temperatures from -60°C to +105°C, guaranteeing reliability even in harsh environmental conditions.

Design and materials

The connector housing is made of polyamide (PA66) - a thermoplastic material with high mechanical and chemical resistance. The insulating element meets UL94 V0 flammability class requirements, meaning it is self-extinguishing after the ignition source is removed.

Compact dimensions (width: 5,2 mm, height: 59,2 mm, depth: 32,9 mm) allow for dense packing on the mounting rail. The single-level design contains 3 spring terminals, each adapted to different types of conductors.

The connection system supports conductors:

• Solid: 0,75-4 mm²
• Stranded without ferrule: 0,25-4 mm²
• Stranded with ferrule: 0,75-2,5 mm²
• Multi-core: 0,25-2,5 mm²

Installation and compatibility

The connector is mounted on a standard TH-35 mm DIN rail with dimensions TS 35 x 15 or TS 35 x 7,5. The marking system allows for labeling both on the side and in the center of the device, facilitating identification in complex electrical installations.

Push-in CAGE CLAMP® technology eliminates the need for tools when connecting solid conductors with a cross-section from 0,75 to 4 mm². Simply insert the stripped conductor (stripping length: 10-12 mm) into the opening until it stops - the spring will automatically ensure a secure connection.

For stranded conductors, the use of ferrules and a mounting tool (e.g., WAGO models 210-658 or 210-720) is recommended for optimal electrical contact.

The device has full approval for explosive zones according to the Ex e II (II2G Ex eb IIC Gb) standard, confirmed by certificates:
