Universal two-tier connector for DIN rails

This two-tier through connector, designed for mounting on TS 35 x 15 and 35 x 7.5 rails, provides reliable and quick connections for wires in electrical installations. Made in a blue housing of thermoplastic material with flammability class V0, it meets safety requirements and is suitable for use in harsh industrial conditions.

The connector utilizes CAGE CLAMP technology – spring clamps – which guarantees a secure and maintenance-free connection of wires with a cross-section from 0.25 mm² to 4 mm², both solid and stranded (with or without ferrules). This makes installation faster and easier than with traditional screw connections, and the risk of loosening connections is minimized. It is worth noting that spring connections do not require regular maintenance.

Application and design features

The connector has been designed with applications requiring high reliability and safety in mind. It meets the standards for explosion-proof construction Ex e II and Ex i, making it an ideal solution for installations in potentially hazardous environments. Thanks to its two-tier design, it allows connecting more wires in a limited space. The number of clamps per level is two, and the rated voltage is 500 V with a rated current of 24 A.

Additionally, the connector requires the use of a closing plate, which increases the safety and stability of the connections. The width of the connector is 5.2 mm, the height is 69.7 mm and the depth is 51.7 mm. The operating temperature range is from -105°C to +105°C.
