Tigris M5 Threaded Connector – Reliable Connection in Installations

This Tigris M5 external thread connector, with a diameter of 40 mm and a 1 1/4 inch thread, is a key element in building durable and safe water and heating installations. Made of brass, it provides strength and corrosion resistance, and its design allows for easy assembly and disassembly. It is ideal for both new installations and the modernization of existing ones.

Design and Application

The connector combines a clamping sleeve, designed to connect to a multilayer PEX pipe, and a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external thread. This arrangement allows for flexible adaptation to various components of the hydraulic installation. Therefore, it finds application in:

• hot and cold domestic water installations,
• central heating systems, including underfloor heating,
• technological installations (chilled water, compressed air).

The use of seals made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber guarantees a tight connection. An additional retaining collar increases the stability and strength of the structure.

The connector length is 81 mm, and the first connection length is 41.5 mm. The wrench size required for assembly is 43 mm. The wall thickness of the connections is 4 mm on both the clamping sleeve side and the external thread side. The outer diameter of the first pipe connection is 40mm and the second is 41.9mm.
