Elbow with thread for water and heating installations

This threaded elbow, made of polypropylene (PP-R) and brass, is used to connect pipes in water and central heating systems. It features a 90-degree bend and a welded/fused connection on one side and a 1/2 inch metric internal thread on the other. Nickel plating of the connection surfaces provides additional protection against corrosion and facilitates installation.

The elbow is part of the Wavin PPR system, which is widely used in residential, administrative, office, public utility buildings, as well as in industry and agriculture. The ability to transport both cold and hot water (and – according to the manufacturer's recommendations – media in central heating installations) makes it a versatile installation element.

Construction features and application

Made of type 3 polypropylene (PP-R), the elbow is resistant to corrosion, deposits and high temperatures. The welded connection ensures a tight and durable connection, and the thread allows easy connection to elements of the installation with traditional threaded connections. The white color facilitates identification in the installation. The elbow is designed for pipes with a nominal diameter of 20 mm (DN 20) and has a 1/2 inch thread (15 mm).

It is worth emphasizing that the Wavin PPR system is characterized by a long service life – even up to 50 years – and is safe for health.
