Tigris multilayer pipe with a diameter of 25x2.5mm is an advanced solution for water and heating installations. Its construction, consisting of five layers – cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xc), an aluminum anti-diffusion layer, and polyethylene (PE) – combines the advantages of different materials, ensuring high durability, resistance to pressure and temperature, and ease of installation. This pipe is particularly valued for its flexibility, which facilitates installation even in challenging conditions.
Application and Properties
The Tigris pipe is designed for a wide range of applications, including domestic hot and cold water installations, central heating, underfloor heating, and technological installations. Thanks to its construction, it provides no air penetration into the installation (anti-diffusion), which translates to stable system operating parameters. The aluminum layer acts as an oxygen barrier, protecting against corrosion of metal components in the installation. Additionally, the smooth inner surface minimizes the risk of scale buildup and ensures hygienic installation.
The pipe is characterized by high temperature resistance – the maximum constant operating temperature is 70°C, and short-term can reach up to 95°C. A coefficient of thermal expansion of 0.025 mm/(m.K) allows for compensation of volume changes caused by temperature fluctuations, minimizing stress in the installation. The pipe's thermal conductivity coefficient is 0.4 W/(m.K). This makes the pipe energy efficient and reduces thermal losses during the transport of the heating medium.
Installation and Compatibility
The Tigris pipe is compatible with Wavin Tigris K1 and M1 fitting systems, providing a wide selection of connecting elements and the ability to adapt the installation to individual needs. The flexibility of the pipe allows for easy bending without the need for specialized tools (minimum bending radius without tools is 125 mm), which speeds up installation and reduces the need for additional fittings. The pipe has DIN-CERTCO certification and DVGW quality marks for gas and water, confirming its compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations.
