This reducing tee Wavin Tigris M5, with dimensions of 16x20x16 mm, is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in water and heating systems. Made of brass, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, which is crucial in demanding installation conditions. Its construction based on clamping sleeves guarantees quick and tight installation.

Application and functionality

This tee is widely used in installations:

• Central heating, including underfloor heating
• Technological installations (chilled water, compressed air)

Particular attention should be paid to the innovative Acoustic Leak Alert (ALA) function, available in the Tigris M5 series. This system emits a distinct whistling sound (80 dB) in the event of a fitting not being properly clamped during air pressure tests. This significantly facilitates and speeds up leak detection, saving time and costs associated with repairs. Thanks to ALA, the installer can be sure of the correct execution of connections.

Construction and parameters

The tee is characterized by a solid brass construction, which ensures its strength and durability. Clamping sleeves allow for easy and safe installation without the need for additional tools. The use of seals made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber guarantees the tightness of the connections. The tee has an integrated support collar for additional stability.

The nominal values of the connection diameters are DN 12, DN 15 and DN 12, allowing for flexible adaptation to different installation configurations. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar at 20°C. The wall thickness of the connections has been appropriately selected to ensure optimal strength – 2 mm for connection 1, 2.25 mm for connection 2 and 2 mm for connection 3. The length of each connection is 25.5 mm.
