Innovative water installation system with acoustic leak detection

The GW K5 C/Z water PN10 16/1/2" Tee is an advanced component of the Wavin Tigris K5 installation system, which revolutionizes the safety of water installations thanks to the unique ACOUSTIC LEAK ALERT function. It is the world's first fitting equipped with acoustic leak detection - any incorrectly crimped fitting reveals itself through a loud whistle, allowing for the immediate detection of installation issues even before the system is put into use.

High-quality construction and materials

The component is made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) - a material with high tensile strength that ensures long-term reliability of the connections. The Tee operates in a temperature range of 0-70°C at a maximum working pressure of 10 bar, making it suitable for most water installations.

The design includes three different types of connections:

• Main connection: crimp socket with an outer diameter of 16mm and a length of 49mm
• Side connection: 1/2 inch BSPP-G cylindrical female gas thread
• Third connection: crimp socket with an outer diameter of 16mm

All connections are equipped with ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber seals, which ensure the tightness and durability of the connections throughout their service life.

Safety and certification

The product holds the DVGW quality mark for water and the KIWA certificate, confirming its compliance with water installation standards. The system has been tested for current separation according to the DVGW W 575 standard, where all Zeta values are 0, meaning minimal flow resistance.

The fitting is marked in blue, which facilitates identification within the installation system and ensures an aesthetic appearance of the assembly. The wrench width is 34mm, allowing for easy installation and disassembly using standard tools.

Application and compatibility

The GW K5 C/Z Tee finds wide application in modern water installations, especially where a safe branching of 16mm diameter PEX pipes to traditional 1/2 inch threaded connections is required.

Thanks to its reducing design, it enables a seamless transition between different types of connections while maintaining the full tightness and reliability of the system. The component is an integral part of the Wavin Tigris K5/M5 system.
