Effective potential distribution in modular terminal blocks

The ZQV 2.5N/10 BL cross connector is used to implement cross-connections between adjacent terminal block strips - enabling signal splitting or transmission without the need for individual wiring of each terminal. Simply plug the module into the appropriate sockets to connect up to ten poles simultaneously.

The plugged design means push-on mounting - without tools or soldering. The 5,10 mm pitch and 48,7 mm total width correspond to the standard Weidmüller Z series feed-through terminal blocks.

Electrical and thermal parameters

The rated current of 24 A allows for the transmission of signals and potentials in control circuits and low-voltage power distribution. The rated voltage is 400 V, with the manufacturer reserving its reduction to 25 V if the connector is cut into smaller segments with bare edges.

The Wemid (polyamide) base material ensures continuous operation in the range of from -60 °C to +130 °C, which is effective both in industrial cold storage and near heat sources generated by loaded installation components.

Operational safety and touch protection

The insulated plastic housing, meeting the UL 94 V‑0 flammability class, protects against accidental contact with conductive elements - particularly important with separated connector segments. The Ex‑e version confirms the ability to operate in explosion-prone areas (gas and dust explosive atmospheres).

When planning the installation, the limitation resulting from mechanical and thermal stability must be taken into account - a maximum of 60% of contact elements may be broken off. This means that with a full ten-pole module, six contacts can realistically be broken off.

Operating and environmental conditions

The storage temperature is in the range of from -25 °C to +55 °C, while the permissible ambient temperature during continuous operation is from -5 °C to +40 °C. The product is RoHS compliant - it does not contain SVHC substances above 0.1% by weight - and meets the ETIM EC000489 classification requirements as a bridge/cross connector.
