Cross-connection terminal (jumper), plug-in, orange, 41 A, Number of poles: 2, Pitch in mm: 8.00, Insulated: Yes, Width: 13.7 mm, ZQV 6N/2 1985740000
The ZQV 6N/2 jumper is used for quickly connecting two adjacent busbar terminals into a single common electrical circuit - without the need for soldering or additional wiring. Simply plug the element into the terminal slots to transfer a signal or distribute voltage between terminal blocks.
Design and Mounting
Made of Wemid plastic - it is characterized by high thermal resistance and meets the UL 94 V-0 flammability standard, which means self-extinguishing after the fire source is removed. The orange color facilitates easy identification of the jumper on the distribution board.
Plug-in mounting allows for lightning-fast installation - simply slide the element into the terminal slots without using tools. Compared to screw-type solutions, this saves a lot of time in larger installations.
A pitch of 8 mm and a width of 13.7 mm correspond to standard Z-series busbar terminals - the jumper fits housings with a width of two modules.
Electrical Parameters and Operational Limitations
The rated current of 41 A allows for transmitting significant loads through the connected terminals. However, the manufacturer specifies several important limitations:
- when using the jumper, the rated voltage drops to 400 V,
- if the jumper is cut and used as a short connection with bare edges - the maximum voltage is only 25 V,
- for thermal stability reasons, only 60% of the contacts can be used (not all pins in a row).
These limitations are typical for this type of jumper - they must be taken into account when designing the circuit.
Material and Resistance
The Wemid housing provides good galvanic insulation between paths and protects against accidental contact with live terminals (contact protection). The plastic withstands storage conditions in the range of −25 °C to +55 °C, so there are no issues with transport or storage in unheated rooms.
The jumper is available in bulk packaging of 60 pcs. - this is a standard size for terminal accessories, allowing for the supply of smaller installations without excess.
The product is from Weidmüller - a German manufacturer specializing in industrial interfaces and distribution board components.
