Single-stage centrifugal pump for central heating and air conditioning installations
The VeroLine-IPL series consists of single-stage dry-rotor centrifugal pumps designed for use in heating, cooling, and air conditioning installations. The Inline design allows for direct installation on the pipeline - without additional brackets or foundations.
Model IPL 65/120-0,37/4 is equipped with a three-phase motor with a power of 0,37 kW (1450 rpm), DN 65 flange connections, and a housing made of grey cast iron GG 25 (GJL-250). The maximum working pressure is 10 bar (special version up to 16 bar available on request), and the temperature range of the pumped liquid reaches from −20 °C to +120 °C. The ambient temperature can range from −15 to +40 °C.
The nominal flow rate at the best efficiency point (BEP) is 24,1 m³/h, and the maximum reaches 41,82 m³/h. The maximum head is 4,55 m.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The pump housing and lantern are coated with a cataphoretic coating - an electrochemical process that ensures uniform protection even in hard-to-reach areas of the casting.
The impeller is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (PP-GF), which reduces cavitation and allows for long-term operation with heating water and water-glycol mixtures (up to approx. 40% glycol by volume). The pump shaft is made of stainless steel, and the AQ1EGG type mechanical seal operates independently of the direction of rotation.
Electrical and operational parameters
The three-phase motor powered by 3~400 V, 50 Hz draws a rated current of 1,06 A at full load. The power factor cos φ is 0,71, and the motor efficiency at nominal load is 76,1%. Insulation class F allows for operation in ambient temperatures up to +40 °C.
The degree of protection is IP55, which means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction.
The flanges feature factory-made R 1/8 measuring holes for connecting pressure gauges.
Applications, regulation, and operating conditions
The pump is intended for:
- heating system water (according to VDI 2035),
- cooling and cold water,
- water-glycol mixtures,
- HVAC installations.
For special media, versions with different sealing materials are available - please consult the Wilo technical department.
For pumps used as replacements for old IPn or IPL models of previous generations, the manufacturer specifies a face-to-face length of 340 mm as the matching dimension - the new pump fits without pipeline modifications.
The standard model operates at a constant rotational speed. For installations requiring smooth capacity regulation, Wilo offers the Wilo-Smart Controller (SC) series - electronic controllers with an LCD display and automatic peak pump switching. EFC frequency converters and differential pressure sensors for controlling dp-c or dp-v modes are also available.
The sound power level is 56 dB(A), and the sound pressure level at a distance of 1 meter is 41 dB(A). The minimum efficiency index MEI ≥ 0,4 meets the ErP directive requirements regarding the ecodesign of water pumps.
