Wilo-RAIN3-24 EM rainwater harvesting system is a complete solution for efficient use of rainwater, compliant with EN 1717 and DIN 1989 standards. The device is characterized by a compact design and diverse hydraulic connection options, making both installation and replacement of existing systems easier. It is intended for applications where drinking water is not required – ideal for flushing toilets, washing or garden irrigation.
Functionality and application
RAIN3-24 EM is a system with automatic water supply from the water mains and a self-priming pump (up to 8 meters). Equipped with an LCD display, it enables intuitive operation and offers a wide range of functions. Integrated self-protection procedures protect the pump from dry running and motor overload, ensuring high reliability. Additionally, the acoustic housing reduces noise levels, which is particularly important near living areas.
The device is characterized by a capacity of up to 5.25 m³/h and a maximum head of 38.88 meters. The motor power consumption is 0.62 kW, and the output power is 0.4 kW. The pump speed is 2900 revolutions per minute, and the rated current is 2.7 A. A 10-liter tank provides an adequate water reserve.
Design and technical parameters
The RAIN3-24 EM system has been designed with durability and safety in mind. The pump housing is made of PP-GF (glass fiber reinforced polypropylene), and the impeller is made of polypropylene (PP). The tank is made of ABS – a material resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions. The inlet and outlet connections have a cylindrical tapered external thread (BSPP) with a diameter of 25 mm (1 inch). The maximum working pressure is 8 bar, and the permissible medium operating temperature is from +3°C to +30°C. The motor has insulation class F and thermal protection with an integrated probe. The IPX4 protection class provides resistance to splashing water.
The use of a check valve and an expansion tank guarantees hygienic safety in accordance with DIN 1989 and EN 1717 standards. The device operates at 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz, making it compatible with a standard electrical installation.
