Multifunctional submersible pump for wells and water supply
The Wilo-Sub TWU 4-0414-C EM submersible pump is a robust solution for drawing water from deep wells, tanks, and for boosting pressure in installations. The design based on a multi-stage hydraulic system ensures efficient operation and reliability, both in domestic and professional applications. The pump is adapted for vertical or horizontal mounting, providing flexibility during installation.
Construction and application
The Wilo-Sub TWU 4-0414-C EM has been designed for long-term operation in harsh conditions. The use of corrosion-resistant materials, such as stainless steel (grade 304) and polypropylene (PP) in the impeller, guarantees the durability of the pump even when drawing water containing small amounts of sand – up to 50g/m³. The integrated check valve prevents water backflow, and the floating impellers minimize pump wear. The device is used in:
- Water supply from deep wells and tanks.
- Boosting pressure in water supply systems.
- Lowering the water level.
- Pumping clean water without long-fiber and abrasive contaminants.
Key features and operating parameters
The Wilo-Sub TWU 4-0414-C EM pump is characterized by a capacity of up to 6 m³/h and a head of up to 93 meters. The 1.1 kW motor is powered by 230V, and its cooling is done by flowing water – therefore, it is important to ensure continuous immersion of the motor during operation. The length of the pump with the motor is 500 mm, and the diameter of the outlet connection is 1 ¼ inch (32 mm) with a BSPT-Rc internal thread. The maximum permissible number of operating cycles is 20 per hour, making it suitable for applications with variable water demand. The IP68 protection class ensures tightness and safety of use even in completely submerged conditions. The motor insulation class is B.
The pump has a connection cable with a plug, which facilitates its start-up and integration with the existing electrical installation. The pump design allows for easy engine maintenance, which translates into low operating costs and long device life.
