Wilo-Stratos MAXO 50/0,5-12 PN6/10 circulation pump is an advanced solution for modern heating, cooling and circulation systems. Construction and application

The heart of the pump is a wet-rotor design with an EC motor, which translates to quiet operation and minimal energy consumption. The built-in frequency converter allows for smooth speed control, adapting the performance to the current needs of the system. The pump is designed for circulating water in heating (radiators, underfloor heating), cooling (air conditioning) and industrial installations. Thanks to its high energy efficiency (EEI 0.17), it allows for significant reduction of operating costs.

The pump has flanged connections DN 50 on both the inlet and outlet sides, which facilitates integration with existing hydraulic infrastructure. The body material – cast iron GG 25 – ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The maximum head is 13.1 m, and the maximum working pressure is 10 bar.

Functions and communication

Wilo-Stratos MAXO offers a range of advanced control functions, such as constant differential pressure control (Δp-c), variable differential pressure control (Δp-v), constant flow (Q) and constant temperature. Intelligent adaptive algorithms Dynamic Adapt plus and Multi-Flow Adaptation automatically adjust the pump performance to the system operating conditions, optimizing energy consumption and ensuring user comfort.

Communication with the pump is via a built-in Bluetooth interface, enabling configuration and monitoring from a smartphone or tablet. Additionally, it is possible to expand with CIF modules, which provide standard network interfaces (Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet IP/MS/TP, etc.) for integration with building automation systems (BMS). A standard digital and analog connection facilitates connection to external control systems. A potential-free switching contact allows for remote control of the pump operation.

Safety and reliability

The pump is equipped with a number of electronic protections, such as motor overload protection, dry-run detection and automatic venting function. Insulation class F ensures safe operation in various environmental conditions (-10…40°C). Protection class IPX4D protects the device against splashing water. The connection length is 280 mm and the motor power consumption is 0.56 kW with a rated current of 2.46 A at a voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz.
