The LED fixture RUBI is a practical and energy-efficient solution for lighting stairs, corridors, and other circulation areas. Equipped with a motion sensor and twilight switch, it ensures comfort and safety by automatically turning the light on when motion is detected within the detection zone and only when ambient light levels are sufficiently low. This eliminates the need to manually switch the light on or off, resulting in energy savings.
Functionality and settings
This fixture operates directly on mains voltage 230V AC 50/60Hz, simplifying installation and integration with existing electrical systems. It features several adjustable parameters to tailor its operation to individual needs:
- Turn-on duration: adjustable from 2 to 35 seconds – allows customization of lighting duration according to the specific room characteristics.
- Twilight sensor sensitivity: adjustable from 2 to 20 lx – enables setting the ambient light threshold at which the fixture activates.
- Detection range: up to 3 meters with a 120° field of view – ensures optimal motion detection coverage.
In addition, the fixture includes a dry contact output (maximum load 3A), which can be used to control other devices, such as additional stair or corridor luminaires. This expands application possibilities and enables the creation of a comprehensive lighting system.
Durability and build quality
The RUBI fixture uses high-quality LED diodes, guaranteeing a long service life of approximately 40000 hours of continuous operation. Constructed from durable materials, it ensures reliable performance for many years. The IP20 protection rating guards against solid objects larger than 12mm, and its intended indoor use provides adequate protection against environmental conditions. Thanks to the use of CREE diodes, excellent lighting parameters are achieved. The fixture is recessed-mounted and is a fixed installation – it is not compatible with solar systems.
