LED power indicator – quick diagnostics and installation protection

This power indicator, type LKM-05-40 (or LKM-01-40 depending on delivery), is a reliable tool for monitoring the presence of voltage in 230V and 400V installations. It uses LEDs in three colors – yellow, green and red – to instantly signal the status of each phase. This is a simple yet effective solution that facilitates quick identification of power problems and minimizes downtime.

Functionality and application

The indicator not only informs about the presence of voltage, but also functions as a protection against the effects of overloads. It is equipped with fuse links that protect electrical receivers from damage caused by excessive current. This makes the device work both as a signaling element and as an additional installation protection. It can be used to protect control and measurement apparatus, e.g. bistable relay sections or energy monitors. If a fuse blows, the corresponding LED goes out, immediately indicating a lack of power in that phase. After replacing the fuse, the system returns to normal operation.

Construction and mounting

The indicator has compact dimensions – it occupies only 1 module width – which facilitates its installation in electrical switchboards. The LED signaling provides a clear and easy-to-read indication of the power status even in difficult lighting conditions. The device is designed to operate with AC 230V/400V voltage and has current protection up to 6A per phase. The use of fuse links allows for effective protection against short circuits and overloads, and also facilitates the location of damage in the electrical installation.
