Automatic lighting control with dusk-to-dawn sensor WZM-01

The WZM-01 dusk-to-dawn sensor is a reliable solution for automatically turning lights on and off depending on the light intensity. The device is ideal for both home and commercial installations, providing convenience, energy savings and increased security. Designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, it offers flexibility in integration with existing electrical infrastructure.

Functionality and application

WZM-01 controls lighting or other energy consumers, automatically turning them on at dusk and off at dawn. Smooth adjustment of the switching threshold allows for precise adaptation of the device's operation to individual needs and environmental conditions. This makes it possible to set the moment of light activation exactly as required by the user. The device is resistant to short-term changes in light intensity, which guarantees stable operation even in variable weather conditions.

User comfort and installation

The WZM-01 switch is characterized by easy mounting on a standard TH35 rail (according to PN-EN 60715). The compact, single-module housing (90x17.5x66 mm) allows for efficient use of space in the switchboard. The power supply indicator and relay status indicator inform about the correct operation of the device. It should be remembered that for the correct operation of the switch, an external light intensity sensor (e.g. SOH-01, SOH-03, SOH-05) is required, which allows measuring the light intensity in the optimal place – the sensor is not included in the set. The maximum length of the sensor cable is 50 meters (using MTY 2x 0.5 mm² cable).

Technical parameters and safety

The device operates at a supply voltage of 230 V AC and has a NO/NC switching contact with a maximum load of 16 A / 250 V AC1 (4000 VA). The rated current consumption is 24 mA. The IP20 protection class provides protection against finger contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The switch meets the requirements of PN-EN 60669-1, PN-EN 60669-2-1 and PN-EN 61000-4-2,3,4,5,6,11 standards, which confirms its safety and reliability. The applied system has a hysteresis of the switching threshold, which prevents frequent on/off switching with variable light intensity.
