Digital phase sequence and phase failure sensor, 16A 2-module CKM-11 EXT10000267
Digital phase sequence and phase failure sensor – protect your installation
This 2-module sensor, designated CKM-11, is a key element in protecting devices powered from a three-phase network, such as motors. Its task is to monitor the voltage status in the network and react to irregularities that could damage connected receivers. The device protects against phase failure, phase-to-phase voltage asymmetry, and incorrect phase sequence. This is a comprehensive protection that minimizes the risk of downtime and costly repairs.
How it works and what you gain?
CKM-11 constantly monitors the voltage in each phase. The factory-set asymmetry threshold of 55V and the function of detecting a voltage drop below 150V on any phase ensure effective protection against various types of failures. Importantly, the sensor is powered from any phase – the presence of voltage on one phase is sufficient for the device to operate correctly. A shutdown delay of 4 seconds and voltage hysteresis prevent false alarms caused by short-term voltage fluctuations. This avoids unnecessary shutdown of devices during normal operation.
- Motor protection: Prevents damage to motors caused by the absence of one phase or an incorrect phase sequence.
- Increased reliability: Minimizes the risk of failures and downtime in production or other processes.
- Simple installation: Power supply from any phase facilitates mounting and connection of the device.
- Interference resistance: Shutdown delay and voltage hysteresis eliminate false alarms.
- Digital precision: Digital measurement ensures accurate monitoring of network parameters.
Design and practical application
The CKM-11 sensor finds application wherever reliable protection of motors and other three-phase devices is required. It is ideal for use in industry, workshops, commercial buildings, and in home installations with higher-power motors. Mounting is done on a TH-35 (DIN) rail, which ensures easy integration with the existing electrical distribution board. The device is characterized by its compact dimensions (2 modules), so it does not take up much space in the control cabinet. It is important to check the compatibility of the device with a specific type of load – although the sensor offers a wide range of protection, specific application requirements may require additional safeguards.
