CW-S 220 Silencer – effective noise reduction in ventilation systems

The ComfoWell CW-S 220 silencer is a component of a ventilation system designed to reduce noise generated by airflow. Its compact design and high damping efficiency make it an ideal solution for both installers and end-users looking for a quiet and comfortable environment. Made of Sendzimir galvanized steel, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance.

This silencer is characterized by a special damping baffle that minimizes pressure loss, which translates to the energy efficiency of the entire system. The ability to connect with other ComfoWell elements allows for flexible adaptation to individual investment needs. A tight connection using a tab with a terminal strip guarantees leak-tightness and optimal installation performance.

Construction and operating parameters

The CW-S 220 silencer has been designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind. It has a revision hatch allowing access to the interior for cleaning or adjustment. Wall or ceiling mounting is simple thanks to adjustable brackets (available separately). Made of high-quality Sendzimir galvanized steel, it provides long-lasting protection against corrosion even in harsh conditions.

It is worth paying attention to the effectiveness of sound damping at different frequencies: at 63 Hz the damping is 5.9 dB, which helps reduce low tones generated by mechanical devices. At 125 Hz this value is 10.2 dB, effectively damping frequencies audible to the human ear. In the mid-frequency range, at 250 Hz the damping reaches 11.1 dB, and at 500 Hz as much as 16.3 dB – significantly reducing human speech sounds. For higher frequencies we have respectively: 14.8 dB at 1000 Hz, 32.2 dB at 2000 Hz, 25.8 dB at 4000 Hz and 28.1 dB at 8000 Hz – which ensures effective damping of high tones generated by fans and other mechanical devices.

The maximum medium (air) temperature in continuous operation is 80°C, which allows the silencer to be used in a wide range of applications. The nominal channel dimensions are 220 mm wide and 230 mm high with a length of 500 mm, which ensures compatibility with most standard ComfoWell ventilation systems.
