Cast Iron Shut-off Valve – Reliable Shut-off for Pipelines

The GLO Fig. 215 DN300 PN16 valve is a robust solution for flow shut-off in diverse piping systems. Manufactured from gray cast iron EN-GJL-250, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The shut-off-check design, featuring a spring-loaded loose mushroom, guarantees tight sealing and prevents medium backflow. The stem is made of brass, while the mushroom and body ring of the shell are constructed from bronze, enhancing wear resistance and extending service life.

Construction and Practical Application

This valve is widely used in hot and cold water, cooling systems, steam pipelines, industrial processes, district heating, and power generation. Thanks to its high leakage class (Class A per EN 12266-1), it minimizes the risk of leaks. The flanges are machined in accordance with EN 1092-2 for body material group A, simplifying installation and ensuring compatibility with existing systems. The installation length complies with EN 558-1 Series 1.

The valve meets the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and carries the CE marking for DN ≥ 32, confirming its safety and compliance with European standards. Designed for operation at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar (PN 16 bar). The handle enables convenient and precise flow control. The valve is also suitable for steam applications.
