Shut-off Valve – Reliable Flow Cut-off in Installations
The shut-off valve ZGLO Fig. 215 is a robust solution for flow cut-off in a variety of installations. Manufactured from gray cast iron EN-GJL-250, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. Designed for use with water, steam, and industrial processes, it performs reliably in heating, power, and domestic hot and cold water systems.
Design and Application
This valve, with a nominal diameter DN300 and pressure class PN16, is engineered for demanding operating conditions. Construction 91 guarantees high quality and precision manufacturing. The stem-to-bonnet connection via a screw ensures easy operation and rapid flow cut-off. All components in contact with the medium—the stem, regulating mushroom, and body ring—are made of stainless steel, enhancing corrosion resistance and extending valve lifespan. An opening indicator allows for quick visual verification of the valve’s position.
This valve is suitable for use in:
- Hot, cold, and cooling water systems
- Steam systems
- Industrial processes
- District heating
- Power generation
Key Features and Compliance with Standards
The valve complies with stringent European standards, including the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and carries CE marking for DN 32. It has passed testing and certification in accordance with EN 12266-1, confirming its high quality and operational safety. Flanges are machined in compliance with EN 1092-2 for body material group A, and face-to-face dimensions conform to EN 558-1 Series 1. High sealing class (Class A per EN 12266-1) minimizes leakage risk.
Additionally, the valve’s technical data is integrated into current calculation software libraries, including Instal-therm, Instal-san, Audytor C.O. 3.8, and Audytor H2O 1.5—facilitating accurate design and selection for specific installation requirements. The regulating mushroom material is X20Cr13 (1.4021), heat-treated (+QT), and seals are made of NiCr-reinforced graphite, ensuring long-term leak-tightness.
