Shut-off valve GLO Fig. 215 DN40 PN16, gray cast iron EN-GJL-250, type: 31, shut-off and check, loose mushroom with spring, stem, mushroom and body ring – stainless steel 215A040C31

zGLO Shut-off Valve – Reliable Flow Control

The zGLO shut-off valve Fig. 215 is a robust solution for controlling fluid flow in diverse installations. Manufactured from high-quality gray cast iron EN-GJL-250, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. This model, in version 31, features a check-shut-off design equipped with a loose mushroom with spring and internal components—stem, mushroom, and body ring—made of stainless steel. This combination of materials guarantees long-term, trouble-free operation even under demanding conditions.

The valve is designed for use with hot, cold, and cooling water, as well as steam, and is suitable for industrial processes, district heating, and power generation. It complies with the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and carries the CE marking for nominal diameters DN 32 and larger. Compliance with standards EN 12266-1 and EN 558-1 Series 1 ensures a high level of safety and reliability.

Construction and Materials – Key to Performance

The use of stainless steel for internal components (stem, mushroom, and body ring) significantly enhances corrosion resistance and extends valve service life. The gray cast iron EN-GJL-250 housing provides mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Additionally, the design with a loose mushroom with spring ensures effective sealing and minimizes leakage risk.

The valve is rated for operation at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar (pressure class PN 16) and nominal diameter DN 40, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial systems. Importantly, the technical data are compatible with popular calculation software such as Instal-therm, Instal-san, Audytor C.O. 3.8, and Audytor H2O 1.5—facilitating design and selection of the optimal solution for specific requirements.
