Resins and chemical anchors
Need a good fixing? Use chemical anchors for this task. This mixture of resin and hardener creates durable connections that are resistant to high loads. In the Onninen assortment you will find various types of anchors, fixing elements and necessary accessories. Which type of chemical anchor should you choose?
Polyester resin and chemical anchor
First, consider where you will use the anchor. Indoors or where the temperature is between -5 and +25°C, a polyester chemical anchor works best. It is used for medium loads. Its advantage is a short setting time. It is 20–30 minutes depending on the ambient temperature. You can use it to fill holes in solid materials, including uncracked concrete, silicate brick and natural stone.
With the use of a mesh sleeve, polyester resin is also used to attach elements in materials known for their empty spaces, such as perforated brick, hollow bricks, aerated concrete. Onninen's offer also includes an anchor that does not contain styrene . This substance has a negative effect on the nervous system and mucous membranes of humans. Styrene-free polyester anchors are odorless, so you can avoid unpleasant odors. intense scent.
Vinyl ester resin and chemical anchor
This type of anchor is designed to carry heavy loads. Thanks to its increased strength, it can be used outdoors. It is resistant to temperatures ranging from -20 to +40°C. The setting time is longer than that of polyester resin, about 60 minutes.
The vinyl ester chemical anchor is moisture-resistant, so it will work well in places exposed to water. You can use it for solid materials (e.g. concrete) and those with empty spaces (e.g. perforated brick). It is used in construction, among others, for fastening reinforcing bars, as well as for sealing holes.
Advantages of chemical anchors
Chemical anchors have universal applications. They are used in places where mechanical anchoring is not possible (e.g. for holes placed close to each other and at edges). They allow for use on various substrates - regardless of whether it is concrete, solid brick or material with empty spaces. Chemical anchors will also work well in holes flooded with water and for full weak materials, because they do not cause additional stress.
Fixing systems and anchoring accessories – which ones to choose?
In this category you will also find accessories and fastening systems that will help you achieve durable connections. These include threaded rods made of galvanized carbon steel. They fit any anchor and type of substrate.
To create a strong connection between the threaded rod and the substrate, a metal or plastic mesh sleeve will come in handy. It allows for attachment in building materials with empty spaces. Additionally, we offer resin dispensers and mixers, as well as cleaners for removing residue from metal and other holes.
