Industrial camera – the basic element of the monitoring system

Industrial cameras are used in monitoring systems, including CCTV, to increase the level of security in various types of facilities, especially those exposed to theft, burglary and other types of crime. They allow for recording, detecting and combating prohibited or undesirable behavior and increase the probability of accurate identification and capture of the perpetrator. The construction of a standard industrial camera includes:

• a transducer that converts the image into an electrical signal,
• lens,
• electronics responsible for processing the electrical signal.

The sensor and lens have a key impact on obtaining good image quality. The sensor is assessed based on the number of pixels. High-end cameras have up to 5 million pixels.

Types of industrial cameras
