Gas meters - your key to precise measurement of gas consumption
Let's start with the most popular type - bellows gas meters. These little wonders are the real workhorses in the world of gas measurement. Do you know what's the coolest thing about them? They work without electricity! They use the difference in gas pressure to move internal mechs that meter the amount of gas flowing. In my experience, they are extremely reliable and long-lasting. We offer G4 models, which are great for single-family homes.
And now an interesting fact - did you know that some bellows gas meters have built-in pulse transmitters? It's a small electronic toy that allows you to remotely read the meter. Imagine not having to go down to the basement to check the meter - great, right?
Gas meters - how to choose the right model?
Okay, let's get down to business. How to choose the right gas meter? It depends on a few factors:
- The amount of gas you use - the more you use, the bigger the gas meter you need
- Installation type - horizontal or vertical?
- Installation space - sometimes every centimeter counts
- Additional functions - e.g. the above-mentioned pulse transmitters
In my experience, G4 bellows gas meters work great for most single-family homes. But if you have a larger home or business, it's worth considering the G6 models or even larger.
And now something that really makes life easier - mono-connectors for gas meters. These are such clever devices that connect the gas meter to the installation. We have different versions: horizontal, block and for welding. They are available in sizes 1 inch and 5/4 inch. You know what? I always recommend that customers replace the mono-connector when replacing the gas meter - it's such a small investment in safety and convenience.
Gas meters - brands you can trust
In our wholesale store we focus on proven brands. Personally, I like products from Ken, Metrix and Weba the most. Why? Because over the years of work I have found them to be reliable and have an excellent price-quality ratio.
Ken is a solid Polish company - their gas meters are easy to use and rarely break down. Metrix, on the other hand, is an international player that focuses on innovation - their models with pulse transmitters are a real hit. And Weba? It's a German manufacturer, known for its precision of workmanship. A bit more expensive, but if you buy their gas meter, you have peace of mind for years.
